3 façons d’utiliser (directement) l’énergie des vagues et de la marée


Les communes redoublent de créativité pour garantir leur autonomie énergétique.

Notre voyage à vélo le long de l’Atlantique est parsemé de dispositifs saisonniers, installés au bord d’un ponton ou sur la plage. Ces objets dépendent de la marée pour fonctionner. Ils s’animent avec la houle et permettent de compacter nos déchets, de nous rafraîchir en attendant le bateau, ou de laver nos vêtements (vidéo de la laverie).
Ces 3 pistes sont issues d’une réflexion plus large :&#38;nbsp; comment adapter nos usages à la production locale d’énergie renouvelable ?J’ai d’abord réalisé un jeu d’idéation rapide qui m’a permis d’impliquer d’autres personnes dans la méthodologie créative. Le but est simple : mettre en relation de manière aléatoire une carte ACTION (usage) avec une carte RESSOURCE (énergie).

J’ai ensuite compilé les idées les plus intéressantes dans un paysage interactif, avant de me recentrer sur des pistes utilisant l’énergie primaire, sans transformation.

3 ways of using wave and tidal energy (directly)

Municipalities are stepping up their creativity to ensure their energy self-sufficiency. 
Our cycling trip along the Atlantic is punctuated by seasonal displays, installed on the edge of a dock or on the beach. These objects depend on the tide to operate. They come to life with the swell, compacting our rubbish, keeping us cool while we wait for the boat, or washing our clothes (video of the wave laundry).

These 3 ideas emerged from a broader study: how can we adapt our uses to the local renewable energy production?

I started by creating a quick brainstorming game that allowed me to involve other people in the creative process. The aim is simple: to randomly link an ACTION card (use) with a RESOURCE card (energy).
I then compiled the most interesting ideas into an interactive landscape, before refocusing on ideas using primary energy, without any conversion.

Comment cohabiter avec les énergies renouvelables ?


Pour atteindre la neutralité carbone en 2050, on ne pourra pas se passer des énergies renouvelables. Pourtant, localement, des voix s’élèvent contre leur implantation. Ce documentaire montre comment les métiers de la création peuvent aider à construire des « communs positifs », avec les ressources locales et les citoyen·e·s. Entre reportages de terrain et interviews, le film se déploie en trois parties : acceptation par le territoire, appropriation citoyenne et démocratisation des savoir-faire.


Le film a été projeté lors de nombreux évènements, notamment à l’Académie du Climat à Paris, à Liège, à Nancy, à l’ADEME Angers et Valbonne...

How do we live alongside renewable energies? 

To achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, we cannot ignore renewable energies. And yet, locally, some people are speaking out against them. This documentary shows how design can help build "positive commons", working with local resources and citizens. Combining field reports and interviews, the film is structured in three parts: local approval, citizen involvement and knowledge sharing.


The film has been screened at numerous events, including at the Académie du Climat in Paris, in Liège, in Nancy, and elsewhere.

CONTRE VENTS ET MARÉES


Cette
 installation est un support de médiation pour sensibiliser le public à 
la pollution des océans par le plastique. L'aspect ludique du jeu attire
 petit·es et grand·es, mais alors que le principe est simple, la réalité
 du jeu pose questions : pourquoi tant de bouchons s'accumulent dans les 
océans ? Et comment arrêter ce phénomène ?Facile à transporter 
et à (dé)monter, nous avons installé notre prototype
réalisé en matériaux de réemploi

 le temps d'une 
journée sur les quais du Port de l'Arsenal et notre objectif fut 
atteint, puisque cet objet a réussi à éveiller la curiosité des 
passant·es.

AGAINST ALL TIDES


This installation is a mediation tool to raise public awareness about plastic pollution of the oceans. The game's playfulness attracts young and old alike, but while the principle is simple, the reality of the game raises questions: why are so many caps accumulating in the oceans? And how can this phenomenon be stopped?
Easy to transport and to (dis)assemble, we installed our prototype made of recycled materials for a day on the quays of the Port de l'Arsenal and our objective was achieved, since this object succeeded in arousing the curiosity of passers-by.

DISPOSITIF VIDÉO IMMERSIF&#38;nbsp;


À mi-chemin entre place publique et agora, la scénographie met en scène les diplômé·es de l’ENSCI (année 2023) s’adressant au public par un unique dispositif : à la fois virtuel dans un format d’exposition audiovisuelle et physique lors de soirées thématiques.&#38;nbsp;

Le dispositif vidéo a été conçu pour mettre en avant les personnes, comme si elles étaient dans la pièce, tout en laissant la place à l’immersion dans les images des projets. Les couleurs changent en fonction des thématiques.

IMMERSIVE VIDEO DEVICE


Halfway between a public square and an agora, the scenography showcases ENSCI graduates (year 2023) addressing the public through a unique device: both virtual in an audiovisual exhibition format and physical during themed evenings. 


The video device was designed to highlight the individuals, as if they were in the room, while leaving room for immersion in the images of the projects. The colours change according to the themes.

TRÉTEAUX PAPILLONS
Ces tréteaux sont constitués de 2 parties qui s’emboîtent. Leur volume est ainsi réduit lors du rangement. 

Leur forme et les 2 bandes Velcro vous permettent de les porter sur votre épaule.


Ils sont adaptés aux moments éphémères, comme un événement ou une séance de télétravail en forêt, car ils peuvent être facilement déployés et rangés. Ils s’adaptent à toutes les formes de table.
Constitués d’un seul panneau de contreplaqué ou de tout autre panneau de bois réutilisé, ces tréteaux peuvent être découpés à la main à l’aide d’une scie sauteuse ou découpés numériquement. Les chutes sont utilisées pour fabriquer des tréteaux plus petits, pour les tables basses par exemple.
Légers et robustes, ils peuvent être distribués sans emballage.

BUTTERFLY TRESTLES


 Trestles for nomadic life from reused wood panels.


These trestles are composed of 2 parts that fit into each other. Their volume is minimised when stored.
Their 
shape and the 2 Velcro strips allow you to carry them on your shoulder.
They are adapted for ephemeral moments, such as any event or a remote work 
session in the forest, as they can be easily deployed and stored. They 
are suitable for any table top shape.
Made of a single plywood panel or 
any other reused wood panel, these trestles can be hand cut with a 
jigsaw or numerically cut with ease by anyone. The scrap pieces are used
 to make smaller trestles, such as for low tables. Light and robust, 
they don’t need any packaging.

Nous avons constaté que les conducteurs ne savent pas toujours quand changer leurs pneus. Certains négligent l’entretien de leurs pneus, ce qui a un impact sur leur consommation d’énergie et leur sécurité.
Les forfaits MileSwapper garantissent un suivi complet du cycle de vie du pneu par KLEBER, soulageant ainsi ses clients de la charge liée à l’entretien et au remplacement des pneus.Un guide d’entretien fourni par le garage permet de mieux comprendre ses pneumatiques. Ceux-ci sont remplacés par des pneus neufs ou rechapés lorsque leur jauge devient rouge en raison de l’usure du caoutchouc.

Les garages jouent un rôle central car ils servent de plateforme d’achat, d’entretien et de collecte des pneus en vue de leur recyclage ou de leur rechapage futur.

SIMPLE, LEGIBLE TYRES


We have found that drivers do not always know when to change their tyres. Some neglect the maintenance of their tyres, which impacts their energy consumption and safety.

These MileSwapper packages guarantee a complete follow-up of the tyre’s life cycle by KLEBER, relieving its customers of the burden related to tyre maintenance and replacement.
A maintenance guide provided by the garage offers a better understanding of tyres. These are replaced by new or retreaded tyres when their gauge turns red as the rubber erodes.

Garages play a central role as they act as a platform for purchasing, maintaining and collecting tyres for future recycling or retreading.

FILIÈRE DE REVALORISATION DES HUILES ALIMENTAIRES


Création d’Ivril, une sous-filière de Quatra transformant les huiles alimentaires usagées en huiles de graissage mécaniques pour les agriculteurs du groupe Lesieur. Ces huiles
biodégradables permettent de limiter la pollution des sols.Ce projet comprend la sensibilisation des restaurateur·ices grâce à un étiquetage présent sur les bidons d’huile permettant de connaître les bonnes pratiques, une labellisation des restaurants pour valoriser leurs actions ainsi que la création de 2 nouveaux produits à usages agricoles.

RECYCLING CHAIN FOR RESTAURANTS COOKING OIL


Creation of Ivril, a branch of Quatra that transforms cooking oils waste into mechanical lubricating oils for the farmers of the Lesieur group.

These biodegradable oils limit soil pollution.This project includes the sensitization of the restaurant owners thanks to a label on the oil cans allowing to know the good practices, a labeling of the restaurants to value their actions as well as the creation of 2 new products for agricultural use.


Our animated video (in french) presents all the steps of the process in a playful way to make this complex project accessible.

CARNET DE BORD DES URGENCES

Nous avons d’abord développé des outils pour recueillir des données à l’hôpital Ambroise-Paré, puis nous avons réalisé plusieurs documents présentant notre étude de terrain et nos recherches. 
Celles-ci ont montré que les personnes passant le plus de temps en salle d’attente avaient besoin de transparence et de réassurance.
Ce carnet accueille, guide, informe les patient·e·s afin qu’iels puissent se projeter dans leur parcours aux urgences. 


D’abord peu fourni, il est rempli en cours de route avec les fiches remises par le personnel médical.


Il n’est pas nécessaire de le compléter pour passer à l’étape suivante, c’est avant tout un outil de compréhension accessible : un minimum de texte et un maximum de pictogrammes pour les personnes analphabètes ou étrangères.

Le ou la patiente valide reçoit les informations les plus pertinentes concernant sa progression dans le parcours, et repart chez lui ou elle avec une trace de son passage aux urgences.

the THE RIGHT INFORMATION AT THE RIGHT TIME


We first developped tools to gather data at the Ambroise-Paré hospital, then we made several documents showing our study and researches.The results showed that people spending the most time in the waiting room needed transparency and reassurance.

This emergency log book welcomes, guides and informs the patients so that they can be more involved in their stay and project themselves into their journey. 


At first with few supplies, it is filled along the route with the cards given by the medical staff.It is not necessary to complete it to move on to the next step, it is above all an accessible comprehension tool: a minimum of text and a maximum of pictograms for illiterate people or foreigners.


The valid patient receives the most relevant information regarding his progression in the path, and returns home with a trace of their passage to the emergency room.
